Select adjustable volume audible and/or visual alarms.  On full volume this is our loudest timer.  Adjust the volume downwards to off leaving only a silent visual alarm as the entire LCD illuminates and flashes on and off.  The bright visual alarm is hard to miss even in a noisy environment and the large 1⅜” (35 mm) high digits can be read from across the room.  Counts down from 99 minutes and 59 seconds with warning tones at 5 and again at 3 minutes before time’s up.  The display indicates time elapsed after the alarm and recalls the last timer setting for reuse.  The sturdy rubberized case stays where you put it and features a large off button.  To extend battery life the alarm automatically shuts off after 30 seconds and the LCD also shuts down after 10 minutes if the timer is not in use.  Powered by 3 AAA batteries (included) that last approximately 1 ½ years, (or 2,000 visual alarms, or 550 visual + audible alarms).
